Site information
Read a site's details, reveal and rotate SFTP, SSH, and database credentials, tune PHP performance, and reset or delete the site.
Info is the first tab of every site. It gathers the details you need most often: names and labels, addresses and versions, the credentials for SFTP, SSH, and the database, the PHP performance panel, and the two actions that start a site over.
Open it
- Choose Sites in the sidebar and open a site. You land on Info.
- The top bar shows your company, the site, and the environment. Use the arrows next to the site or the environment to switch to another one.
Every tab shows the environment you picked, so check the top bar before you change anything.
Site details
Site details shows the site name, its labels, the location (data center), and the server name. Rename the site and edit its labels with the pencil buttons. Labels belong to your company; see Site labels for how to create them. The server name is the region the site runs in.
Environment details
Environment details lists the path, the site IP address, the IP address for external connections (allow it through another service's firewall), the environment name, the PHP engine, the WordPress version, the temporary domain, and the resources the site gets.
Updates and domains
The column on the right counts plugin and theme updates, shows the WordPress version, and lets you change the PHP engine. Below it, Domains shows the primary domain with a copy button, how many domains are live, and how many SSL certificates are valid. Choose Manage domains to open the Domains tab.
The buttons at the top open WordPress: Log in to WP Admin signs you in, Visit WP login opens the login page, and Visit site opens the primary domain.
Primary SFTP and SSH user
Primary SFTP and SSH user holds the host, port, and username. Show the password to see it, copy it, or rotate it.
Avaloi asks for your account password again before it shows a secret, and it hides the secret after a minute. Each reveal lasts for your session only and is written to the activity log.
From the same card you can:
- Edit the IP allowlist for SSH.
- Change the authentication methods and the password expiration.
- Add or remove SSH keys.
- Download the FTP client config file.
Additional SFTP users each get one folder. Add them here, switch SFTP on or off, or remove an account you no longer need. Each change runs as a job.
Database access
Database access shows the database name, user, and password, and the SSH tunnel command. Open phpMyAdmin signs you in with a single-use link that expires after 60 seconds. The Database access article covers import, check, and repair.
PHP performance
PHP performance shows the memory pool, the threads, and the memory per thread. Avaloi staff set the size of the pool. You can rebalance threads and memory inside it. See PHP performance.
Reset or delete the site
Reset site wipes WordPress and installs it again. It works only before the site launches: live code changes only through a promote from staging, so a launched site cannot be reset. To start over on a launched site, change staging and promote it, or restore a backup of live. Delete site deletes the site and every environment it has. Both ask you to type the site name to confirm, and both run as jobs you can watch from the top bar.
Through the API, a delete needs confirm: true, and a reset repeats the site name in the request body.
Quick answers
Why does Avaloi ask for my password when I show a secret? A reveal needs a recent sign-in. Avaloi audits every reveal and hides the secret again after a minute.
I rotated the SFTP password. Do my teammates need to know? Yes. Rotation replaces the password for everyone who uses that account.
Can I delete only the live environment? No. Live cannot be deleted on its own. Delete the site, or delete a staging or branch environment from Environments.
