Notifications

Read dashboard notifications from the bell, mark them read, and choose which categories reach you in the dashboard and by email.

Notifications tell you when something happened that you should know about: a job finished, a deploy went out, a teammate joined. The bell in the top bar collects them, and your preferences decide which ones reach you.

Open it

Select the bell in the top bar. It shows an orange dot when you have unread notifications.

The panel shows the latest eight, each with a title, a short message, and the time. Avaloi checks for new notifications every 30 seconds while the tab is visible.

Act on a notification

  • Select a notification to open the page it points to.
  • Use the check button to mark one as read.
  • Choose Mark all as read to clear them all.

See the full list

Choose View all to open the full list. Filter by category or show unread items only.

Choose what you get

  1. Open User settings, then Notification preferences.
  2. For each category, set two switches: one for the dashboard and one for email.
  3. Select Save preferences.

The categories are jobs, deployments, site health, security, team, and billing.

Notifications are personal. Turning one off does not change what your teammates receive.

Quick answers

I turned off a category, but a teammate still gets it. Preferences are per person. Each teammate sets their own.

Why do I see only eight? The bell shows the latest eight. Choose View all for the full list.

How soon does a new notification appear? Within 30 seconds while the dashboard tab is visible.

Can I mark a notification unread again? Yes, through the API. PATCH /v1/notifications/{id} sets a notification read or unread.

API

  • GET /v1/notifications
  • PATCH /v1/notifications/{id}
  • GET /v1/users/me/notification-preferences
  • PUT /v1/users/me/notification-preferences
