Give someone access to one site

Invite a person to one site as a Site Admin or Site Developer, change their role, remove them, and manage pending invitations.

Site roles give a person access to one site without showing them the rest of your company. Open your site, then User management, to invite people, change roles, and remove access.

Invite a person

  1. Open your site, then User management.
  2. Choose Invite user.
  3. Enter the person's email.
  4. Pick a role.
  5. Send.

The person gets an invitation. Until they accept, it shows as pending on the same page.

Pick a role

A Site Admin has full control of this site, including SSH, credentials, and who else can use it.

A Site Developer works on code, files, the database, and cron, but cannot reveal credentials, manage SSH, or invite people.

Neither role can see your other sites. For company-wide roles, see Roles.

Change a role

Open the person's row and pick the new role. The change applies right away.

Remove a person

Open the person's row and remove them. Avaloi asks you to type their email to confirm. Removing a person from a site removes only this site: the person stays in the company and keeps any other sites they have.

Manage pending invitations

A pending invitation shows on the same page until the person accepts it. Resend it if the email did not arrive. Revoke it if you sent it by mistake or the person no longer needs access.

Quick answers

Can a Site Developer see the SFTP password? No. Only a Site Admin can reveal credentials or manage SSH on the site.

Will the person see my other sites? No. A site role covers one site. Invite them on each site they need.

I removed someone and they still have access to another site. Removing a person from a site removes only that site. Remove them from the other site too, or remove them from the company.

The invitation email never arrived. Resend it from the pending list, or revoke it and invite the person again.
