Sign up and launch your first site
Sign in with Google or GitHub, choose a plan, pay on Avaloi's own page, create your first site, and connect a domain you own, in one guided flow.
Parts of this feature are still being built. The Not yet section lists them.
The quickest way from no account to a site on your own domain is the Welcome flow. A bar at the top shows where you are in its five steps: Sign in, Choose a plan, Pay, Add a site, and Connect a domain.
1. Sign in
Choose Start hosting on avaloi.com, or Start with on a plan card of the pricing page. Then choose Sign up with Google or Sign up with GitHub. There is no password to make. A small Cloudflare check runs under the buttons first; see The sign-in browser check.
If you chose a plan on the pricing page, Avaloi remembers it while you sign in, so it is already selected on the next step.
If sign-in does not finish, you come back to the same page with one sentence that says why, such as "Sign-in was cancelled."
2. Choose a plan
Pick a plan and Monthly or Annual. Annual costs ten times the monthly price. Each price is for one region, and it is locked when you buy. See Region prices.
- Starter and Pro are for individual accounts. Business 1 to 3 and Agency are for business accounts. If you pick a Business plan on your own account, the flow asks for your business name, creates the business, and switches you into it.
- Enterprise plans are set up by our team on a custom invoice.
- If your role cannot buy plans, the flow says so. Ask an Owner or a Billing member.
3. Pay
The Summary shows the plan, the price, the tax line, and the total. Add a card with Add new card: the card fields are Stripe's, shown on Avaloi's page. Then choose Subscribe. If your bank asks for 3D Secure, a window opens to confirm it.
After you pay, the flow waits for Stripe to confirm the plan, usually a few seconds. If that takes longer than a minute, it says so and offers Refresh. See Payment failed if the card is declined.
4. Add a site
Name the site and choose what to install: fresh WordPress, WooCommerce, multisite, or an empty site. The site starts on staging with PHP 8.3 and its own temporary address with HTTPS. You can change PHP later.
5. Connect a domain
Type a domain you already own, such as example.com. Leave Also add www ticked to add both names. Avaloi then shows three records to add at your DNS provider: a CNAME to sites.avaloi.com and two TXT records, each with a copy button. It checks them every few seconds and marks each one found. You can leave the page; Avaloi keeps checking for up to 72 hours. See Domains.
No domain yet? Choose Skip for now. Your site keeps working on its temporary address, and you can connect a domain later from Domains in the dashboard.
Find every domain later
Domains in the dashboard lists every domain connected to your sites, with its site, its status (Live, Waiting for DNS, or Failed), and its certificate. Add domain connects a new one to any site. The row menu opens the DNS records, the domain itself, or the site's Domains tab.
For scripts
GET /v1/pricing returns the public plan prices for a region with no sign-in, the same amounts the Pay step charges.
Not yet
- Registering a new domain through Avaloi. The Register tab says it is coming soon until the registrar is connected. Register anywhere and connect the domain.
- The contact form writes an email in your own email app. Messages are not stored on Avaloi's side.
