The Add-ons tab is not built. Today it shows a placeholder. Plans cannot be bought yet either, so there is nothing to add an add-on to. This article tells you what you can use today and what the design plans for the tab.

What works today

Test sites are free, run on a simulated server, and work in every tab of the dashboard. Create one from the Sites list to try Avaloi end to end: domains, staging, backups, the Code tab, and the API all work on a test site.

Real sites wait until your company has a plan. When you create a real site today, the API answers 402 with the problem type payment-required. Pass test: true to create a test site instead.

Each site already comes with:

  • a live environment and a staging environment,
  • up to five manual snapshots per environment, kept at least 14 days, and
  • daily snapshots kept 14, 20, or 30 days by plan.

Quick answers

Can I buy a plan or an add-on today? No. Plans and add-ons cannot be bought yet. Use a test site in the meantime.

Why did creating a site fail with 402? Your company has no plan, and plans cannot be bought yet. Create a test site with test: true.

Will my test site become a real site later? This article changes when plans ship and says how.

The design plans these add-ons. The list and the prices are not final and may change before the tab ships.

  • Site slot: one more site on your plan.
  • Additional disk space: 20 GB more for $20 a month, shared by every site on your account. Every site starts with 20 GB, and each plan includes 20 GB per site slot. Adding or removing a block resizes every site at once; you can follow the change on the Jobs page.
  • PHP pool: a larger PHP memory pool and more threads for a site.
  • Redis: an object cache for a site.
  • Premium staging: a staging or multidev environment on a smaller, slower server, with half of live's PHP threads and memory. Up to five per site, counted apart from the 10 standard ones.
  • Hourly backups: snapshots every hour instead of once a day.
  • Off-site backups: copies of your snapshots in another location.
  • Safe Updates: plugin updates with visual regression checks.

When the tab arrives, you will add and remove add-ons per site, see the limits they raise, and see the change on your next invoice.
