Search menu

Jump to a site, an environment, a settings page, or a recent job from any page with one keyboard shortcut.

The search menu is the fastest way around the dashboard. It finds sites, environments, settings pages, and recent jobs, and it works from every page.

Open it

Press Ctrl and / (Cmd and / on a Mac) from any page, or select the magnifying glass in the top bar.

Type to search your sites, their live environments, settings pages, and recent jobs. Results are grouped by kind, and Avaloi tells a screen reader how many it found.

Move and open

  • Use the arrow keys to move between results.
  • Press Enter to open the one you are on.
  • Press Escape to close the menu.

Choosing a site opens it on the Info tab. Choosing a recent job opens its details, the same view as the Jobs button in the top bar. See Jobs and progress.

What your role can see

The menu only lists pages your role can open. If a settings page is missing from the results, your role does not include it. Ask an owner or administrator to change your role; see Roles.

Quick answers

The shortcut does nothing. Make sure the dashboard tab has focus, then press Ctrl and / together (Cmd and / on a Mac). You can also select the magnifying glass in the top bar.

Can I search staging environments? The menu lists sites and their live environments. Open the site, then switch to staging in the top bar.

A page I use is not in the results. Your role cannot open it, so the menu does not show it.
