Your profile and language

Change your name and pick your language in User settings. The language is a list, saved on your account.

Your profile is your name, your email address, and your language. Open Account settings, then User settings.

Change your name

Edit Name and choose Save profile. Your email address shows for reference. To change how you sign in, see Sign in and passwords.

Pick your language

Language is a list of languages, each written in its own words with the English name after it, for example Deutsch · German and Português (Brasil) · Brazilian Portuguese. The list covers English (and British English), Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Portugal and Brazil), Dutch, the Nordic languages, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Romanian, Greek, Turkish, Russian, Ukrainian, Hebrew, Arabic, Hindi, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified and Traditional Chinese.

Choose one and Save profile. Avaloi saves a standard language code on your account, such as de or pt-BR, and your choice follows you to every browser. The dashboard is in English for now.

If you have not chosen a language, the list starts on your browser's language when Avaloi has it, and on English when it does not.

API

  • GET /v1/users/me returns your name and locale.
  • PATCH /v1/users/me with {"locale": "de"} saves it. The value is a language code such as en, en-GB, pt-BR, or zh-Hans. Anything else answers 422 with a sentence that says why.
